We’ve been kicking around the idea of adding a triva question to our magazine every month. We’ll run a photo in the mag, then you have to go to our web site and cast your vote in the comment slot. So just as a warm up, who can identify this rider? The central Indiana readers will have an advantage if they know their history.
This is only a test to see if readers want to play, we’ll have prizes later, but this should be a warm up for all of us. Good luck.

Nope, you were closer with your first guess. And the prize is never going to be a new bike, I was figuring a pair of socks or something cheap, this is Trail Rider any how… How about some trailer skirting, sure come in handy this time of year.

Good ole #223, how obvious! I do not want trailer skirting, already have my own, plywood and pallets, very sturdy. I have converted it into my basement, whenever there is a tornado warning I skitter below. Send me some socks.

The rider is Ron LaMastus riding a Rokon, the picture is from the 1973 ISDT held in Dalton, Massachusetts. How is that for an answer, Charlie? Too late for my trailer skirting here now, we have lots of snow.

We have a winner! I am suspicious though, this photo was taken before wkndwarrior was even born, yet he seems to know exactly where and when this photo of Ron Lamastus was taken, and he is correct. So I guess I owe him a pair of socks, let me take this pair off and I’ll send them to you.

Who is Ron Lamastus…Is this jeopardy rule’s, hope Alex recovers and is back on the tube asking questions left and right. If its Jeopardy rule’s then I win, and keep the socks as a Christmas gift!

I figured it was Lamastus or Gene “Porky” Pritchard. But I guess I was a bit too late. Sure could use some socks this winter!

Send dirtbauer some of your socks, they are great from keeping varmits from inhabiting a crawl space.
