Russell goes fishing and gets one on a bobber

August 4th, 2008 · 1 Comment

After a night of heavy moonshine drinking Russell Bobbit proved he is better at dealing with hangovers than his competitiors and sucured his second win of the season this past weekend.  Bobbit was behind early on to OMA and GNCC regular Jimmy Jarret as the summer break in those series provided some extra participants for the Moonshine Enduro.  After seeing that he had some additional competition, Bobbit decided that he should try to ride faster and pulled ahead in sections three and four.  Jarret went on to finish the first looser.  Barry Hawk, another GNCC regular, also showed up and rounded out the podium.  Mike Lafferty decied that, since he held the championship lead going in, he should not lead going out of this event.  Of course in the spirt of sportsmanship and all that want to see the title go down to the last event.

“I got up this morning and thought about how the fans would love to see the championship go down to the wire.  I know everyone cheers for the underdog and I want them cheering for me, so I though ‘What the heck lets let someone else win today and throw the slim lead away’.”  Mike said in a pretend interview with some halfwit pretend journalist.

He did just that with a fourth place finish and now trails Bobbit by 13 lucky points.  Cole Kirkpatrick sits third in the standings a wopping 41 points behind Lafferty.

Next stop is “up north” Minnesota on August 24th where yours truly will be showing both Lafferty and Bobbit a thing or two about riding.

Many of us are rooting for one of these guys, I use my sound judgement when I make this observation.
With the advice I have given you on riding, via youtube you are well prepared to spank each and everyone of the pro’s but remember they do this for a living, so maybe let them take home a check and know that you are a bigger man for letting them win. Next season throw down the gauntlet and let it be known that you will be a force to be reckoned with. In fact I suggest you get in each and everyone of their faces after the race and announce your decision.
