199 Lives Movie Review

There are only two nights (April 16^th and 17^th) to check out Travis Pastrana’s new movie, 199 Lives, on the big screen and after seeing it the first night I think that everyone that didn’t go last night should go tonight.  The movie starts out with some statistics.  You know simple stuff; what bones and how many times they have been broken.  Then it goes into his accomplishments, followed by his family life growing up.  This gives you a good indication on what makes Travis tick and why he pushes himself to do the things he does.  Through out the movie there is a mixture of footage from the yesteryears and today.  Oh and believe it or not there are even some (well ok lots of) great crash scenes!  There are also some great facial close-ups of some people which means that you can find out things like Travis’s mom’s nose is very sexy and his dad kinda looks like Paul Newman.  All in all it is a good movie that will leave you entertained and show you some great behind the scenes footage of what these top athletes go through.  Not to mention the all the crashes.

If you ride a dirtbike or motorcycle, have thought you might be cooler if you did ride, or merely have seen a motorcycle or dirtbike in your life, you should go see this movie.  If for no other reason than to stab your finger in the chests of all the movie directors out there and go nose to nose with them and say “see people will come and watch a good bike movie!”
