Hey ya´ll

We are at the beach right now, it is a very nice place, we are in a thatched roof hut overlooking the Pacific ocean. The waves were crashing all night and that was the only sound we could hear.

Only problem is we are lost. Not really lost, but with out direction. Before we made it to the cave we felt like explorers, adventures, visiting all these out of the way towns. Now we are on the tourist route and don´t like it a bit. German, French, Italian, American, Canadian, Mexican, we are just another ugly face in the crowd.

We can´t decide which way to go, East to the Mayan ruins, or west along the coast. The road west although follows the coast does not look like it is right on the water so the views may be limited. Plus it is opressivly hot away from the water.

I´m here in the office while Chuck is walking the beach, trying to find what ever you look for when lost. My self I would like to go East to the ruins, but they are two day´s ride, West means home, we don´t know what we want to do, but we want out of here. That sounds funny, we want out of paradise. People come from all over the world to be here and all we want is out…. Boy the high mountain towns were nice, I don´t know what we will do.

Yesterday we came into town and caught up with a guy on a BMW with a girl on the back. We raced through traffic and pulled up on both sides of him. He ignored us completely. His companion smiled and waved but he was so superior on his BMW that he could not even acknowledge us. Okay, we passed him (quite easily too) and ran down the beach to find our cabana. We were off the bikes and walking around when he finally came riding by, again she waved and smiled, and you could see just how embarased she way by his behavior. Hell, we wave at every bike here! Islo, Carabella, all the scooters, loads of little Yamaha’s and Honda´s, but this clown on his BMW took the cake. !

We did have a long day yesterday, 250 miles or so. The first half was across a hot flat valley with a blue million speed bumps. But eventually we climbed up to 9,000 feet and it was cool and beautiful. It looks like the Blue Ridge Parkway in North Carolina, then in places it looks like the Pacific North West. ANother top quality lucnh for $8 in a fantastic shack hung on the edge of a cliff. Then it was down to the beach. The ride was exhausting. Both our hands and wrists were sore from the decent. 15 days in the saddle, it feels good just to stop, even though we are both ready to keep moving.

Which ever way we head, it looks like a rustic route for the next couple of day´s so I might not have a computer, so don´t worry about us if we don´t make a posting. All is well, and we will find our way, a new goal, a new destination.

Write when you can, and we will talk to you later.
