Knight gets a buck
In this photo stolen from Cycle News, David Knight is shown wearing his new NASA diaper
| Red Bull KTM rider David Knight loves his rear tire. He loves it so much that for nearly three hours he flaunted it to his rivals. He got his usual bad start and was only fourth after the first lap. He was in the lead on the second lap. Knight was also helped with his bad start when several riders went down in the first corner and therefore he made up spots quickly. Knight’s teammate Nate Kanney took the holeshot and led early on, but decided that it was not the place for him today and let some riders past. Josh Strang officially led the first lap (which is the first time the 19 year old Australian has led a GNCC race. Good on ya mate!), then fell WAY back to third before mounting a HUGE comeback past his teammate Charlie Mullins who ended the race in third. Mullins was happy with his third since he had some excuse of a severely sprained wrist. Fourth place went to Paul Whibley. He whined about some arm pump. Kanney finished fifth, but was chased home by the chainsaw wielding Ausie, Glenn Kearney riding a Husky.
Yamaha’s Barry Hawk crashed hard on the first lap and was taken to the hospital. He suffered a broken shoulder, ribs and perhaps a collapsed lung, Teacher Shane Watts returned to action and finished in 11th after running as high as fourth. Next race he says he will ride instead of running. |
The XC2 class was the end of a year long streak by Thad DuVall. Even if all year only means three races, the kid is showing some potential. This race was not to be his though. He was seen mating with a flu bug on Friday and obviously did not use protection. He still battled most of the race with Josh Weisenfels and Kailub Russel. By midway through the race Josh Weisenfels decided to show the rest of the field that he had eaten his wheetes and pulled out a lead. Dustin Gibson tripped over a snail just after the start in turn two and was mounting a charge through the pack. On the last lap Josh decided that his complexion could use some help and stopped by a mud hole to cover his face. Dustin past him for the win: followed by Thad in second. Josh cleaned his face and decided to take third.
The next race is at Loretta Lynn’s house on April 26th and 27th. Coffee and tea will be served. Please RSVP.

If I read it the first time do I really have to read it the second time?

That was some really smart reportage psycho. Nope you do not have to read a second time, that might be considered proof reading aka cheating.
