Loretta Sings the Blues
The GNCC series took a trip to Loretta’s house in Tennessee and saw some good racing from the maniacs up front. In a surprise to absolutely no one (except the other competitors who live in a shroud of denial), David Knight took the win by just over a minute ahead of Australian import Josh Strang. The Australians, who have secretly been building an army of off road riders since the mid 1600’s, had a great showing with two of the top five riders being from the island nation. Another islander who had a great showing was Shane Watts. He pressured Knight early and even took the lead for a while. Since the two were so far out front, Wattsy invited the mighty Knight over for some pinball, but in a shrewd move of deceit, Knight continued on as Wattsy stopped and played pinball with some trees. Shane, in an effort to uphold island pride and once and for all prove which island is better, caught back up to Knight and passed him. Then is a tussle of epic proportions the two had an “incident” when passing a lapper that left Shane on the ground for the second time. After two hard crashes and an aching head Wattsy dropped back.
Kight, for once got a good start, (He is finally starting to show signs of proving his worth over at the Redbull KTM Team.) as did his teammate, Nate Kanney. The rest of the field scrambled behind and pulled straws for positions. At the end of the three hour race it was the young Australian Josh Strang who got the position; crossing the finish line just over a minute behind Knight. He was chase home by “Hot Rod” Charlie Mullins another 20 seconds back. Charlie got some serious pressure through out the race by Glenn Kearney, who rode his chainsaw home for forth. It is great to see the Husqvarna chainsaws cutting the wood so well this early in the year.
The XC2 report can be kept short and sweet. Thad DuVall. Four wins in five races. Enough said!

I rode with Knight in Vegas. I was surprised that he was a short, squat, beer gutted, bald man with real tiny teeth. I felt bad for him so I intentionally did not qualify for the main and he ended up finishing 2nd behind a man from Poland who raced pretty darn smart for a Pole, or anyone for that matter…He just proved a Tad bit better than the tiny little jovial gnome from the Isle of Mann.

Did you really ride WITH Knight in vegas? I don’t think you can say you are riding with someone when they are so far in front of you that you cannot see them!

Psycho, Wyatt and Knight really did ride together, David drove the moped and Wyatt rode on the back when they went to get pedicures.

Was the pedicure before or after Wyatt ended up in the mud hole? It sure would have been a shame to do get those pretty toenails all dirty!

In my defense I my foot was wedged between the rock and the frame of the bike, so it was faulty track design combined with faulty frame design. I honestly cannot take the blame myself and keep a clear concience.
Also if you had toes as pretty as mine you would have a pro keep them groomed. Case closed JW
