Hey Everybody:

I just got a note from Jeff Debell and he reported that John Steen had passed away. I didn’t know John, but my Buddie Big John bought one of his bikes back in the day. It was a cool looking Hodaka type of creation. I remember that whole day, buying new bikes are always bright days. Any how, we rode up to Nobelsville Indiana in Big Johns dads Suburban. He had a little trailer we loaded the Steens in and we rode in the back seat ogling the bike all the way home. I don’t really remember any thing about the bike or what ever happened to it. Now it’s creator is gone and it’s memories are turning gray. I searched the internet for a picture of one of these bikes to show you here, but could not find one, so I thought I would run this photo of the Dirt Rider pool party from a couple of weeks ago.
