BMW GNCC

November 23rd, 2007 · 5 Comments

It has been officially announced that Scott Summers is going to ride the new BMW 450 in GNCC racing. I expect BMW to make a pretty big splash. At Pikes Peak hill climb they had no fewer than seven of the HP models entered. The HP is the big twin high dollar Super every thing bike. Being they were the only entries in the 1200 class they swept that class. BMW is hoping some of the other manufactures of big twin super bikes will start contesting the class.

This is a photo of the HP Jimmy Lewis rode at the Ironman GNCC, 380 lbs plus mud! He got a good good start and rode 3 laps and that is quite an accomplishment, I’ve ridden that course before and it is not the place I want to ride such a pig.bmw-jl-trider-1.jpg

This shot is Jimmy racing to the first turn, pretty cool huh? Now this is not the bike Scott Summers is going to be racing, he’s on a very nice looking 450, Clip took pictures of one at the Endurocross and I’ll post one of them asap.

That looks like Randy Hawkins trying to cut over on the BMW, not a good plan…..

Looks like a Continental TKC dual sport tire. Good long lasting tire, but it’s still not enough for me to take that pig out in the woods.
