All a Buzz About Indy

February 21st, 2008 · No Comments

We made it home! Indy was a blast, every one might be crying recession, but business was brisk at the Indy Dealer Show. Todd, Paul and I knocked them dead and you should see some new advertisers in the pages of Trail Rider. Remember, advertisers pay the bills, so for TR to grow, we need more advertisers. Okay enough talk about work, how did our party go?

Well just look at these guys, Todd Topham aka Re Todd, Clipper, Vic Krause, aka Mr. Know it All and Vic’s son Luigi, they are all smiling and having the fun.charliedrew.jpg

Ugly and surly, it was very beery out.

The party was good, Ron Lamastus, Guy Cooper, Bill & Larry Hamilton all ISDT veterans showed up and signed the board, the front side is almost full, there was some conversation about how much the board would sell for at the Blue Ribbon Breakfast of Champions Auction, but I’m not ready to get rid of it quite yet, it’s got a few autographs I can’t replace.

Speaking of the Blue Ribbon Breakfast of Champions, it was a success and raised almost $50,000 dollars. For a laugh, they asked me for a donation, so I gave them a jersey from the Endurocross, they ran out of time so they didn’t auction it off at a quarter, but it did go out on a raffle ticket. Bill Dart from ORBA won it and could not figure out who in the hell Williams was until he turned it over and saw the Grateful Dead patch on the front, then he knew it was mine. Then he gave it back to me! I’m not real sure how to take that! Oh well…..

Chuck Sun made the trip and offered a cool print of him leading a GP in Europe back in the day, it sold for $600. Chris Carter from Motion Pro bought some really cool stuff and I’d bet he has a nice collection stashed away some where.

Okay, you get the idea, we had a great show and Trail Rider is really on the rise, I’ve got to get to work so I’ll catch up with you here in a couple of days.

Thanks

Charlie
